Recent projects
Always on the lookout for meaningful projects and ways in which to use art and ink to create positive outcomes. Alessandro recently worked on the ‘Healing Ink’ non-profit project, which delivered a powerful and healing hit of contemporary tattoo art to victims of terrorist acts.
These incredible events of altruistic healing were held in both Haifa in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and were part of a larger project which was reported in 1,200 newspapers across the globe, in 5 different languages, and in 6 different countries.
By using a combination of powerful emotional imagery, skilled tattoo artists, including Alessandro, Ryan Ashley Malarkey, and other important contemporaries, produced a tattoo unique to each survivor. These works of ink art symbolized the impact such events had on this brave group of people.
Alongside body inking, this major philanthropic endeavor also saw this group of benevolent artists, tattooing near major historic holy sites and artifacts. which included The Haifa Museum of Art and Tel Aviv’s City Hall. The effect of this truly awe-inspiring art was international, immediate, and moreover, powerful.
